I had a mixed experience during my stay at Buffalo Thunder. The location is nice, but there were significant issues with cleanliness and poor service that left me disappointed. While the hotel has some great amenities, the overall experience felt far from what I had hoped for. I wouldn't recommend it to friends unless they addressed these issues.
Rooms
6.0
The rooms were generally clean, but mine had a few issues like a worn-out lounge chair and some visible stains in the shower. The room temperature control also needs attention since it didn't cool down as expected.
Service
5.0
While some staff were friendly, many seemed overwhelmed and unhelpful, especially when issues arose, which made me feel like my concerns weren't a priority.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is convenient with some nice attractions nearby, which I appreciated.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited as many restaurants were closed, and the meal I had was overpriced and underwhelming.
Facilities

I had a mix of experiences during my stay at this hotel. The large and comfortable room was a highlight, along with a fantastic spa experience. However, the service left a lot to be desired, particularly the housekeeping and communication during my stay. Overall, it's a place worth visiting for its spacious rooms and spa, but be prepared for some service hiccups.
Rooms

The room was incredibly spacious and well-appointed, exceeding my expectations. However, I did find some hair left in the bed, which was not ideal.

While some staff were friendly, particularly at check-in, the overall service was inconsistent. Housekeeping was disappointing, as our room was not properly cleaned during our stay.
Location
7.0
The hotel is conveniently located, making it easy to access local attractions, but it could be noisy at times due to the air conditioning units.
Dining
9.0
Dining at Red Sage was a standout experience; the food was superb, especially the steak cooked to perfection. However, the other dining options were just okay.
Facilities
8.0
The spa was amazing, offering excellent treatments that enhanced my stay, although the casino didn't wow me with its gaming options.

This hotel has a beautiful scenic location that offers a great escape from the hustle and bustle. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but the dining options fell short, with limited choices available. Additionally, the hotel could benefit from housekeeping improvements. Overall, it's a decent place to unwind, but it may not cater well to everyone's dining preferences.
Rooms

Service

Housekeeping was lacking, and I had to request service multiple times without satisfactory results.
Location

Set in a scenic area, it's perfect for those looking to disconnect, though it's a drive away from Santa Fe.
Dining
5.0
The restaurant was often crowded, and service was slow, leading to long waits for coffee and bills.
Facilities

The casino had a decent variety of games, but felt more like a slot facility than a full-fledged casino.

My stay at the hotel was quite the mixed bag. I was thrilled with the lovely King Room that had a gorgeous balcony, and the conference facilities were excellent. However, I was disappointed with the restaurant options, as many were closed, limiting the dining experience during my visit. The location outside the main town may not be ideal for everyone, but it worked out with plenty of free parking and access to attractions nearby.
Rooms
9.0
I had a stunning King Room with a private balcony, spacious sitting area, and a comfortable bed. It really added to the overall experience.
Service
7.0
While my overall service experience was good, I felt the communication could have been more effective, especially regarding dining options that were available.
Location
6.0
The hotel is located outside of town, which offers a peaceful atmosphere but does require a bit of travel to reach downtown attractions.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were quite limited as only two restaurants were open, and I found the food at Red Sage had a very restricted menu, which was disappointing.
Facilities

The hotel has well-maintained pools and even a decent gym, although I didn't get a chance to use the facilities much during my conference.
